Description

I’ve been shooting weddings in Adelaide and around the world for more than twelve years. Over that time I’ve learned a lot about what makes an important photo.

I like shooting those epic photos of the two of you, you know, the ones that get all the likes on Instagram and look amazing blown up on your wall, but I LOVE to shoot the sneaky moments – the tear rolling down your Dad’s cheek during your first dance, your partner’s face the moment they first see you walking down the aisle, the uncontrollable laughter from your guests when your best man oversteps the line during their speech after one too many reds, or your dog trying to get involved (or hide under the couch) while you’re getting dressed.

There are literally hundreds of these low-key moments and I want to capture every last one of them. They are the fabric of a wedding and they are what gets me excited to leave the house on a Saturday morning even after all these years.

FAQs

Your photos are guaranteed to be ready within four weeks of your wedding, in reality, it's usually more like two. I take a huge amount of pride in what happens after the wedding and I get an unnatural thrill from delivering a set of immaculately edited images in double-quick time.
The last thing I want to do is drag you away from your guests for any longer than necessary, generally, 45-60 minutes is about right for photos of you two as a couple and with your wedding party (we'll send the wedding party back to the reception after 15 minutes or so). I take plenty of photos of your bridesmaids and groomsmen earlier in the day during preparations so that later on everyone can maximise their time at the celebration rather than the photoshoot.
I certainly do. I absolutely love country weddings (I shoot in the Riverland reasonably often) and love heading interstate as well. In a pre-COVID world, I even enjoyed the occasional overseas nuptials, but that's probably on the backburner for a little while longer.
I tend to attract people who don't like having their photos taken, it's turned into a bit of a speciality! Over the years I've picked up plenty of tricks to put people at ease, to generate genuine laughs and natural smiles. If it just feels like we're all hanging out having a good time instead of being on a rigid photoshoot it's a lot easier to relax and let your true self shine on camera.
I've been shooting weddings since 2008 and during that time I've yet to encounter a day when it rains non-stop all day, there will always be a window to duck out for some photos. Inclement weather often leads to memorable photos, brooding skies, light drizzle, wet vines - we will always have an indoor back up plan as well for just in case.
