Description

Hello! and welcome . . . .

. . . . come on in. You’ve made it to this photographer’s profile page. Nice! Stick around a little, get a feel for what I’m about. Again, welcome!

I’ll dive right in 😀

I’m all for real: just you, as you are, living in the moment. That makes the best pictures for mine. Honest and authentic, you know. I’d put it like this, too: my work is straight up documentary, but damn expressive: no tampering, just you, feeling and experiencing your day . . . . and me, doing my thing seeking out the frames that will make these moments come alive again when you look at them in the years to come.

When you break it down, for me, photography is pretty much about one thing: people. I’m not going to just rock up an take snaps, though. Nah! I’ll bust a gut looking for every possible creative/expressive way to frame my images but, in the end, my pics are always going to have something human going on in them. That’s why I take pictures: for everything that makes us human. There’s nothing else quite like the way we share moments, celebrate, the way we express our emotion, our love; there’s just nothing else that can make memories like we can. For me, that’s hard to beat.

Vendor Profile - Moss Halliday-Hall

Moss Halliday-Hall

Hi! The name's Moss—yes, yep it really is—and this mugshot right here belongs to me . . . . dunno what I'm going for with the look on my face; half intelligent half creative genius, dunno . . . . I'll let you in on something, this is actually an awkward self-portrait . . . . ahhhh, what fun! I'll have to get someone else to take a picture of me next time. Definitely.

Anyhoo, on with the intro . . . . as a fella, there are a couple of things that make me what I am—the first thing: I'm a dad. It's bloody humbling and awesome and it throws a whole new perspective at you. The responsibility of nurturing little humans is immense and full on, but so beautiful and a giant privilege. It's the power in being in life for my girls.

It’s that spirit I bring to my photography: it’s not about me. It’s not about making my mark. It’s about using my vision to mark the present so it can live again.

And the other thing . . . . well, I like to think, to find different ways of seeing. That's what draws me to photography. Exploring point-of-view, perspective, angle, interpreting the things I see inside the frame. That's me.
