Marriage Celebrants - Aisha Puchert

10 Questions with Aisha Puchert

1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi, I’m Aisha — a marriage celebrant based in sunny Perth, mum to three gorgeous boys, lover of love stories, and a total wedding enthusiast. Honestly, I’m one of those people who never gets tired of hearing how two people met or what their proposal was like — I just love love.

My journey into celebrancy started from a place of genuine passion. I’d always been the go-to storyteller in my circle, the one who helped friends with speeches, vows, or finding the right words for special moments. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful, something that combined creativity with connection. Becoming a celebrant felt like the perfect fit — and now, I truly couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Since day one, I’ve been all about crafting ceremonies that feel like you — not stiff, scripted, or formal (unless that’s your vibe!), but warm, personal, and totally unique. I believe your ceremony should set the tone for the whole day — heartfelt, a little bit cheeky, full of joy, and above all, true to your love story.

I’ve had the absolute privilege of marrying so many incredible couples from all walks of life, and I approach each ceremony with the same excitement as if it were my own. I'm fully inclusive, proudly bilingual (English and Turkish), and will go wherever love takes me — anywhere in Australia and beyond.

When I’m not celebrating weddings, you’ll usually find me wrangling kids, watching reality TV with a cheeky glass of wine, or planning our next family adventure. Life is full, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?

Honestly, I’ve stopped counting — but I’d say I’ve had the privilege of officiating over 500 weddings (and I’m still absolutely loving it!). What I’ve learned over the years is that no two couples are the same — so no two ceremonies should be either.

Some couples want to dive deep into their love story, while others prefer something more subtle, simple, or elegant — and that’s exactly what I deliver. My job isn’t just to tell your story; it’s to create a ceremony that feels right for you. Whether that means heartfelt vows, a few laughs, a nod to your heritage, or something beautifully minimal, I tailor every ceremony from scratch to suit your vibe, your personalities, and what matters most to you.

One of my recent couples said it perfectly in their review:
“She took the time to listen to our ideas and needs, ensuring every aspect of the ceremony reflected who we are as a couple… Her ability to create a ceremony that was both meaningful and relaxed was everything we could have hoped for.”

That’s the heart of what I do — creating a space where you can truly be yourselves, surrounded by love, joy, and just the right words to start your married life together.

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

I always say — the earlier, the better! I often take bookings 12 to 24 months in advance, especially for popular dates and weekends. So if you’ve got your heart set on a particular season, venue, or date, it’s a great idea to lock in your celebrant nice and early.

The bonus? You’ll secure today’s pricing, even if your wedding is a year or two down the track. It’s one less thing to stress about — and gives us plenty of time to create something amazing together.

4. How would you describe your ceremony style?

My ceremony style is warm, relaxed, engaging, and full of heart. I bring a lovely balance of light-hearted fun and genuine emotion — creating a space that feels natural, inclusive, and uniquely you. I’m all about making sure your ceremony isn’t just something to “get through” before the party — it is part of the celebration!

Whether you’re after something romantic and heartfelt, simple and elegant, or full of laughter and cheeky moments (or a bit of everything!), I’ll shape the tone and flow to suit you both perfectly. My ceremonies are personal, meaningful, and always delivered with warmth, care, and just the right amount of sparkle.

5. What are your fees for a wedding?

I offer a few different packages to suit all kinds of celebrations, from simple legals-only ceremonies to fully personalised weddings at the venue of your choice. I don’t publicly advertise fixed rates because each couple and celebration is unique — and I tailor my services to reflect exactly what you need.

As a general guide:

A basic legals-only ceremony in my office starts from $450.

My Courthouse-style ceremony at the Fremantle Marriage Office is $1250.

A fully personalised ceremony at a location of your choice is also $1250.

These prices are just a guide and will be adapted to suit your specific requirements. If you're not quite sure what you need yet, I’m always happy to chat and help you find the perfect option for your big day.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

When I officiate a wedding, I always aim to strike the perfect balance between elegance and comfort — and I take my couples' preferences into account! For my personalised and full ceremony packages, I always check in with couples about what they’d like me to wear — whether they have specific colours or themes in mind. I’ve even worn a Harry Potter-themed Sorcerer’s cloak for a fun, personalised touch!

For my Courthouse-style or legals-only ceremonies, I’ll always wear something elegant, fabulous, and professional. It’s important to me that I feel confident and look the part, but also that my attire complements the tone of the day, whether it’s classic, relaxed, or a little quirky. If you have any ideas or requests, I’m more than happy to chat and make sure I’m dressed just right for your celebration!

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

I always ensure we have an in-depth meet and greet to go over all the legal requirements and get a solid understanding of what my couples want for their ceremony. This is a chance for us to connect, chat about your vision, and make sure we’re on the same page.

Depending on the package you choose, we can follow up with another in-person meeting (or video call) if needed to fine-tune things. For all couples, there will also be a rehearsal to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

No matter what package you go with, I’m always available to chat via message, email, or phone throughout the planning process. My main goal is to ensure you have a seamless ceremony that’s perfectly curated for you, so you can relax and enjoy your day knowing everything is taken care of!

8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?

Absolutely! Creating a personalised ceremony is one of my favourite parts of the job. Every couple is unique, so it’s important to me that your ceremony reflects you. Whether you want a simple, elegant celebration or something more fun and quirky, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that feels authentic and special.

From your vows to any readings, rituals, or special touches, I make sure everything is tailored to your personalities, style, and the story you want to tell. My goal is to create a ceremony that’s as unique as your love, and one that truly represents who you are as a couple.

9. Are you available to travel if needed?

Yes, I’m absolutely available to travel anywhere in Australia — and I’m especially open to exotic locations like Christmas Island, Cocos Islands, or other faraway places! I’ve had the pleasure of marrying couples in some truly unique spots, from the remote Waroora Station at Coral Bay to all over the South West and even Katanning.

No matter how far the destination, I’m always up for an adventure and will go wherever your love story takes us. Let’s chat about your dream location, and I’ll be there to help make it happen!

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

All bookings require a 40% non-refundable booking fee. This fee secures your date and covers the lodgement of your Notice of Intended Marriage.

While dates can be changed, refunds will not be issued — however, if you need to reschedule, I just need to ensure I’m available on your new chosen date.

If a couple cancels and requests a refund, each case will be reviewed individually, but the booking fee remains non-refundable.

For full details, my Terms and Conditions are available to be emailed to you upon request.
