1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi Brendan Anning Celebrant here. I performed my first ceremony for my cousin when I was the ripe age of 23. Never had I been more nervous before, but it turned out to be an amazing experience and a challenge I grew to love. Later in life I moved to Brisbane and took a great opportunity to become business partners with one of the most popular celebrants in Australia. I enjoy every wedding and believe love is the greatest aspect of life. Love should be cherrished and celebrated as often as possible.

2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?

I have performed around 480 weddings by now. Ranging from just 2 guests to over 200 guests. Famous and non-famous people alike. I still be a buzz out of every ceremony as I truly see every human being as equally due of the same amount of respect and love.

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

Typically 6 months or more is a great amount of prep time. But I can book couples from time to time one month before the ceremony.

4. How would you describe your ceremony style?

My ceremony style is relaxed yet full of fun and excitement. I have a few great tricks to relax everyone while letting everyone know we are here to celebrate and enjoy the moment to the full.

5. What are your fees for a wedding?

I typically charge $1200 or a full ceremony package. I do offer discounts from time to time if you are having a small easy-going celebration. I also change $600 if you require mainly just the paperwork and a few quick words.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

I normally wear my black suit with a white shirt and bow tie. And I never leave the house without my RM's!

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

Generally, one session is all we need to make the magic happen. Two would be the max needed if there are a lot of items to discuss and plan. Most couples like to meet in person or via video call before booking to make sure I am the right celebrant for them.

8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?

All of my ceremonies are personalised to the couple. This is the way I like to do ceremonies as I surely do not want to be up the front talking about myself!

9. Are you available to travel if needed?

I normally travel for all my ceremonies. Ranging from Noosa to Byron Bay and out to Toowoomba.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

If I have to cancel I give a full refund and help to find a new celebrant. I have only had to cancel one wedding in my 15 year history, so I really make sure I stay committed and get the job done well. If the couple has to cancel then I find out why and come to an agreement on what to do from there.
