Your Wedding Story

Well, hello there! I’m Michaela – the principal videographer here at Your Wedding Story. Storytelling is my “thing”.

When I was little I spent a lot of spare time writing stories. I sent my first manuscript to a publisher at age 11. (I received some very kind rejection letters). I also wrote in my journal daily, convinced that I would need to remember all these little details from my life at some stage down the track.

Along those same lines, I was given my first camera in primary school. I consistently documented my family and friends’ every trip or party, as well as daily life. I knew even then how important those records would be in the future. (I am now the family’s go-to person on those occasions when old photos are needed for a slideshow or photo book).

After school I took a detour into law… but my creative side staged a protest and I became a full time author and journalist. Eventually that led me to storytelling via film… my obsession for the past decade!
