When Kate Sice began to daydream about opening another flower shop, her vision was to supply Hobart with stylish, simple flowers, beautifully presented with a classic edge.

Kate has over 25 years experience in the flower industry, owning and operating flower shops in Western Australia and Tasmania within this time. After a few years working in hospitality & event co ordination her passion for flowers and all things botanical could no longer be hidden.

Botanical’s seed was firmly planted in 2014 when the shop front Kate had longed for became available. Within a space of three days, the little rundown shop, with the most gorgeous pressed tin ceiling, was hers. After four weeks of thoughtful and dedicated restoration, 139 Macquarie Street become what is fondly remembered at ‘The Baby shop’

Botanical – a quirky flower studio in Hobart’s historical CBD soon evolved into Botanical West Hobart a much needed larger premises. Botanical’s new store which opened in 2019, encompasses all things botanical and beautiful; a place to create and discover. Botanical’s new store is located only a short 5 minute drive from our original store in leafy suburban West Hobart.

The beautiful white corner shopfront (also with a gorgeous pressed tin ceiling) at 187 Warwick Street, West Hobart is now home to Botanical incorporating a much larger shop front, working studio & gift store. A store 8 times the size of our original store with gifts for all ages and a forest of indoor plants, orchids and fabulous florals.

Botanical is an eclectic and mesmerising store that will be sure to evoke your senses and delight your soul.
