Hi, I’m Whistler Li, a passionate self-taught wedding photographer and videographer based in Brisbane. 2. How long have you been shooting weddings and how many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 4 years, and in that time, I’ve had the honour of capturing the love stories of 450 couples. Each wedding is a unique experience, and I’ve loved every moment of documenting the joy, emotions, and unforgettable memories that make each celebration special.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
It’s best to book your wedding photographer as soon as you’ve set your date and secured your venue—typically 9 to 18 months in advance.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I offer three main wedding photo and video packages, tailored to suit different needs and budgets. Additionally, I provide custom packages for intimate elopements and engagement sessions in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Here’s a brief overview:
1. Essential Package
Perfect for smaller weddings or couples wanting just the key moments captured.
Includes coverage of the ceremony, family portraits, and a portion of the reception.
Deliverables: A curated selection of high-resolution images and/or video highlights.
2. Classic Package (Most Popular)
Designed for full-day coverage, from getting ready to the key reception events.
Includes a mix of candid moments, portraits, and event details.
Deliverables: A comprehensive gallery of images and/or a cinematic highlight video.
3. Premium Package
Ideal for those wanting complete coverage, including pre-wedding sessions, multi-location shoots, or extended reception coverage.
Includes two photographers/videographers for more angles and enhanced storytelling.
Deliverables: Full gallery, highlight film, and extras like albums or raw footage.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
Yes, I am the primary photographer for all the weddings I book. When you hire me, you can rest assured that I’ll be the one personally capturing your big day. For most weddings, I handle everything from photography to video coverage, depending on the package you select.
For larger weddings or if your package includes extended coverage, I may bring along a second shooter or videographer from my trusted network of professionals. These are experienced creatives who share my style and approach, ensuring consistency and quality in every moment captured.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
For weddings within Brisbane and the Gold Coast, I typically do not charge a travel fee. For locations outside this area, a travel fee may apply to cover costs such as transportation, accommodation (if an overnight stay is required), and other logistics.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
I offer beautifully designed, high-quality wedding albums that showcase the highlights of your day. These are fully customisable, allowing you to select your favorite images and choose from various cover materials and layouts. Albums can be added to any package, and I’ll work closely with you to design a keepsake you’ll treasure forever.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive their wedding photos? How will they be delivered?
Couples typically receive their wedding photos within 2 to 3 weeks after their big day, 3 to 4 weeks for the video. This timeline ensures I have enough time to carefully edit and curate your gallery, delivering a collection that reflects the beauty and emotions of your celebration. You’ll receive a private, password-protected online gallery where you can view, download, and share your high-resolution images and videos. This is the quickest and most convenient way to access your photos
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
My cancellation and refund policy is designed to be clear and fair for both parties while protecting the time and effort invested in planning for your wedding. Here’s an overview:
Deposit/Retainer
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. This ensures I reserve the date exclusively for you and turn down other inquiries.
The deposit amount is typically 30% of the package total.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel more than 60 days before the wedding, no additional fees are due. Any payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded.
If you cancel within less than 60 days, the full payment may be required unless I’m able to rebook the date with another client.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate your new date. The original deposit can usually be transferred if I’m available. If I’m unavailable, the cancellation policy applies.
Special Circumstances
In cases of force major (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions, or personal emergencies), I aim to work with couples to find a solution, whether that’s rescheduling or offering credit toward a future booking.
