1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi there! I'm Rick Almeida, founder and lead photographer at Infoco Photography. I absolutely love photographing weddings. Being there in one of the most important days of someone it's a honour and I always do my best to document the emotions and special moments of the day. I also love the technical challenges of photographing a wedding regarding to light, composition and everything else.
I'm based in Brisbane (Bowen Hills) and serving Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
I'm originally from Brazil (from a Italian and Portuguese family that moved to Brazil running away from the World War I), but I have lived in Australia for many years now.
I used to live up in Cairns (North QLD) that is a beautiful small city (except in the summer). I'm a scuba diver and hiker so I had a lot of fun there.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings and how many weddings have you photographed?
I started as a professional photographer in 2020. I did my first wedding in 2022 and so far I have done 16 weddings in total (13 as a main photographer and 3 as second shooter).
3. How would you describe your photography style?
My photography style is a blend of documentary and gentle directions. This means I focus on capturing genuine, candid moments while providing light guidance to ensure you look your best. No stiff poses here – just real emotions and natural interactions. I use different styles during the day. When possible I give instructions to the couple to capture the best of them and then I let the moment happen. I use both natural and artificial light (flash). I always try to use the best light possible given the situation and time available. However, I always prioritize capturing a real moment even in less than ideal light.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
At the moment I'm booking 2025 and 2026.
The peak wedding moments are April, May, September and October.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I offer 4 packages based on the length of photography time: 2 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and full day (12 hours)
The Package B (8 hours photography) is the most popular and normally covers from getting ready until dance floor.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
Yes, I’m the main photographer and my wife Rachel is the 2nd shooter in case you need it. I don’t hire other photographers to work under my brand to work as main photographer.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
Travel fees are included for weddings out of the 80km range from my home (Bowen Hills, Brisbane).
I charge 75c per km outside the range.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
At the moment I only offer digital images both online gallery and a usb with high-resolution images ready to print. I can offering guidance where to print them.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive their wedding photos? How will they be delivered?
The couple will receive 5-10 sneak peeks photos in max 48 hours after the wedding. The final gallery will be delivered in max. 6 weeks (it may change in the busy seasons, the contract will have the correct information).
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
It goes case by case. Normally I will keep it the deposit (30%), but depending on the situation and how long for the wedding I might refund everything. I will use common sense.
