1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi, I’m Frank Servello, the founder of Frank Servello Marriage Celebrant and someone who believes in the beauty and joy of bringing two people together in marriage.

Before stepping into the world of weddings, I spent years as a Primary School Principal, a role that honed my public speaking skills and taught me the importance of connection and understanding. My journey into the wedding industry began as a Master of Ceremonies. From the first wedding I hosted, I was captivated by the atmosphere—filled with love, laughter, and the shared happiness of everyone present.

After working as an MC at many weddings, I felt a calling to deepen my role in these special moments. Becoming a Marriage Celebrant was one of the best decisions of my life. Now, I have the privilege of not only guiding couples through their ceremonies but also creating memories that will last a lifetime.

For me, this isn’t just a job—it’s a passion. Every love story is unique, and I’m here to help you celebrate yours in a way that’s personal, meaningful, and truly unforgettable. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, I’ll ensure your ceremony is a reflection of your love, values, and personality.

2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?

Since my commencement, I’ve had the honour of officiating in excess of 450 weddings, each one a unique and cherished celebration of love.

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

As your celebrant, it’s important to note that by law, couples must provide a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month prior to their wedding date. To avoid any last-minute stress and ensure my availability, I highly recommend booking well in advance. I generally recommend couples booking my services as a Marriage Celebrant 6-12 months in advance.

4. How would you describe your ceremony style?

As an engaging and approachable celebrant, I believe that a wedding ceremony should be more than just a formal process—it should be a heartfelt celebration that brings everyone together. I aim to create an atmosphere filled with love, laughter, and connection, ensuring that your special day is as memorable for your guests as it is for you.

I love to involve family members and guests in the ceremony whenever possible, whether it’s through readings, symbolic rituals, or personal touches that reflect your unique story. Including loved ones not only adds depth and meaning to the occasion but also creates lasting memories for everyone involved.

My style is warm, inclusive, and focused on creating a ceremony that feels personal, authentic, and true to who you are as a couple. Whether your vision is traditional, modern, or completely outside the box, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that you and your guests will cherish forever.

5. What are your fees for a wedding?

Performing the ceremony
Provision of a Battery-Operated PA system (I will look after the music part unless you have live music)
Completion and lodgement of all legal paperwork in order to register your marriage
Commemorative certificate
Correspondence to Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages
Application for your Official Certificate of Marriage (this is required if you wish to take on your partner’s surname in the future)
Music provision is part of this package.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

As your celebrant, I understand the importance of presentation and professionalism on your special day. My brand is built on always dressing to match the elegance and significance of the occasion, which is why I wear a classic suit and tie to every wedding I officiate.

Whether your ceremony is a formal black-tie affair, a stylish cocktail event, or an intimate gathering, my attire will always reflect the sophistication and respect your wedding deserves. I believe that my appearance should complement the tone of your day while ensuring I blend seamlessly with your carefully planned aesthetic.

Rest assured, I take great pride in being polished, professional, and dressed to impress—because every detail matters when celebrating love.

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

Building a strong connection with my couples is essential to creating a ceremony that truly reflects their love and story. That’s why I’m committed to meeting as many times as necessary to ensure every detail is just right. These meetings can be held in person or online, depending on what works best for you.

Here’s what you can expect:

Initial Meeting: This is our opportunity to get to know each other and establish if we’re a good fit. It’s an informal conversation where we discuss your vision, ideas, and how I can bring your ceremony to life.

Signing Meeting: During this meeting, we complete the legal paperwork, including the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and Declaration of No Legal Impediment. I’ll guide you through the process to ensure everything is in order.

Final Meeting: Closer to the wedding date, we’ll meet to finalize all the arrangements. We’ll go over the ceremony structure, confirm any special touches, and ensure everything is set for your big day.

Individual Meetings: As of June 2024, in accordance with guidelines from the Attorney General’s Office, I also set aside time to meet with each partner individually. This ensures I understand both your perspectives and can tailor the ceremony to reflect your unique connection.

8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?

Your wedding ceremony is one of the most meaningful moments of your life, and I’m here to ensure it feels uniquely yours. With my experience and passion for crafting personalized ceremonies, I can provide:

A Fully Customized Ceremony: Your love story is one of a kind, and your ceremony should reflect that. I work closely with you to create a ceremony that resonates with your personalities, values, and relationship. From traditional vows to modern touches, every detail is tailored to suit your vision.

Personalized Rituals: Whether you’d like to include a cultural tradition, a symbolic gesture, or something entirely original, I can incorporate personalized rituals into your ceremony. Unity candles, handfasting, sand ceremonies, or even unique rituals you’ve dreamed up—I’ll help you bring them to life.

Involvement of Family and Friends: I can help you weave your loved ones into the ceremony through readings, blessings, or active roles, making the experience even more special and inclusive.

Guidance and Support: From scripting the ceremony to offering suggestions for rituals, readings, and vows, I’ll provide expert advice to ensure your ceremony flows beautifully and is a true reflection of your love story.

9. Are you available to travel if needed?

Your wedding day deserves the perfect celebrant, no matter where it’s held. I’m more than happy to travel to your chosen location, whether it’s a destination wedding requiring a flight, a few hours' drive to a scenic country venue, or anywhere in between.

While I’m based locally, I understand that love knows no boundaries, and neither do I. My travel availability means I can help bring your dream wedding to life, wherever it may be. Of course, travel requirements will impact my fee, and I’ll provide a clear and transparent quote that reflects the added travel arrangements.

Whether your ceremony is set against a picturesque coastal backdrop, nestled in a charming countryside location, or in a far-off destination, I’ll be there to help make your special day unforgettable.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

Cancellation and Refund Policy

I understand that sometimes circumstances change, and plans can shift. My goal is to make the process as smooth as possible for you, so here's a breakdown of my cancellation and refund policy:

Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule your wedding, please provide as much notice as possible. For cancellations made more than 90 days before the wedding date, I offer a full refund minus initial 25% deposit paid at time of booking and any administrative fees.

Cancellations 30-90 Days Before Wedding: If a cancellation occurs between 30-90 days prior to the wedding date, I offer a 50% refund of the total fee.
Cancellations Less Than 30 Days Before Wedding: Unfortunately, cancellations made within 30 days of the wedding date are non-refundable, as the time and effort dedicated to preparing for your ceremony are already committed.

Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate you, subject to my availability. If the new date falls within my calendar, the original deposit will be transferred to the new date. Any change in travel arrangements may incur additional costs.

Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances such as illness, extreme weather, or other emergencies, I’ll work with you to find a fair solution, whether that means rescheduling or adjusting fees accordingly.
