Hello and welcome!
Congratulations on your engagement and I'm so excited for you with the amazing journey towards your dream wedding day!
I'm Trudy and I've been a Marriage Celebrant for over 14 years. I became a Celebrant to marry friends of mine to be a part of their special day and I just loved it and haven't looked back.
Some fun facts about me
- I have been living in Brisbane (this time) since 2008 and call Brisbane my home
- I have lived in other states within Australia and lived overseas
- I have travelled quite a lot around the world and love travelling and meeting people
- I have been married for 12 years to my love Ben
- I love dogs and have a fur baby boxer called Bruce Wayne
- I have had other career roles in Digital Products and Project Management type roles and dabble in renovating houses, so I'm pretty good at being organised and working with clients and vendors / trades to bring a project or wedding to life with happy results
- my favourite TV shows are anything renovating, suspense crime but my all time favourite show is Ted Lasso
- what I love most about being a Celebrant? everyone is so happy to be there for the couple and so much love on the day its truly beautiful to be a part of it!
2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?
I've been a Wedding Celebrant for over 14 years, mostly part time alongside a Project Management type role. I've been fortunate enough to have officiated over 135 amazing ceremonies.
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
At least 30 days for legal paperwork to be completed
4. How would you describe your ceremony style?
My Ceremony style is flexible to the couple's style, but generally this tends to be more relaxed but not too relaxed, a happy, enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved.
5. What are your fees for a wedding?
1. Legals only (Couple and two witnesses from $590)

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
A professional dress that is not revealing, too loud or outlandish. I am open to discussing preferred colours with couples.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
It varies depending on the package, for example an elopement package would be 1 pre-session but the standard package maybe 3-4 including first meeting, signing paperwork and a rehearsal. Every couple may have slightly different needs and I work with them to ensure they are comfortable and prepared. Some couples prefer to meet over zoom call, and some in person, some would prefer to meet a few times before the ceremony and others don't.
8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?
Absolutely I can create a personalised ceremony, I will work with you to create the ceremony that you have been dreaming about. This may vary depending on the package and the couple. Chat to me about this at your obligation free initial meeting.
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
Absolutely happy to travel, this may attract an additional fee and is pending availability.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
To secure your wedding date, I have a non refundable $150 deposit. This is because I may turn down other weddings on this date for yours and I only ever book one wedding on one day.
I do offer a date reschedule should you need to change your date, this is usually without cost if rescheduled in advance.
