1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hello!! I'm Tarnya Bennett, but please call me Tarn, all my friends do!
I have been a Celebrant for 17 years and Im absolutely totally, utterly and completely addicted to what I Do ! This is never a job to me it is my LIFE :)
I started this amazing journey becoming a Marriage Celebrant 18 years ago as I was attending lots of friend's weddings and to be honest I just wasn't feeling it!!! Too many times, I would think ..WOW is that it?? Where's the feeling?. Where's the essence ?...where's the LOVE ??
This is a delightful celebration of love I'm witnessing and Im not feeling it....SO .......I decided to change that. I studied and became a Celebrant and this is what I do full time. And yes indeed I made all those changes, and I create all those feels and that's not a promise I absolutely guarantee it :)
To me its just so important that every celebration of love and marriage is personal and unique to the couple. It cant be a carbon copy of someone's else's wedding, because every couple have their own unique dynamic and this simply MUST be about exactly that ..YOU, THE COUPLE ! Its your day so lets work together and make it THE BEST DAY EVER . Looking forward to meeting you .......Tarn x
2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?
This is simply the best job in the world. However it's not a job, as it never feels like work. Its a journey. Every wedding is a unique journey and we travel that journey together .I learn more about you as you learn about me knowing you can totally trust ,lean and rely on me. I'm the calming influence and the person that has you backs and will guide you every single step of the way. I have also owned my own venue so trust me when I tell you I know every aspect of the wedding world. I genuinely care about my couples and I think that shows from my amazing reviews that I'm so humbled by.
Golly, how many weddings have I officiated ???....well I stopped counting after 1,500 weddings lol.... I guess I would be close to 2,000 maybe even more. :)
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
The most popular months of the year are March through to December...yep Jan and Feb tend to be a little bit quieter , which gives my love dust fairies time to reload the love dust cannons :)
Once you know the date you want book me ! My bookings are up to two years in advance.
4. How would you describe your ceremony style?
This question ?? Its absolutely not about my style its about yours ! And this is where I pride myself on being adaptable. Its absolutely essential that I can fit into your style thoughts dreams and ideas about your special day. And this all starts at the ceremony.
So if you are looking for Simple Elegance, or more lighthearted that choice is completely yours and I will certainly accommodate . I DONT do silly jokes or make it about me because its NOT! There's a reverence to what you are doing by getting Married and I hold that with so much respect. Once again I will say, its all about your dynamic as a couple and I will find out what that is and make it amazing, whatever YOUR STYLE is.
5. What are your fees for a wedding?
I have many packages to accommodate what you are looking for and they are on my website with the prices. My Elopement package is $495 up to Premium Platinum which has all the bells and whistles.
6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
I will always dress accordingly and to your colour palette. Again depending on where you are getting married . A more formal wedding I always wear one of my Blazers over a dress or with a skirt ...a beach or park wedding a lovely dress .Theres Many pics of what I wear on my website ....but I will always dress well for YOUR wedding.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
Depending on the package you choose....I always like to meet in person if possible to do the legal paperwork. Happy to chat/ email as many times as you want to....and I do love a rehearsal.
8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?
YES YES YES !!!!
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
YES YES YES !!!! I have traveled far and wide all over Australia doing weddings ....I love it !
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

The one thing I will say is communication is key ! and if those lines are always open and honest we can find a solution .In fact one of my fav sayings is NO PROBLEMS...ONLY SOLUTIONS !
