1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi I'm Patricia (Trish) Corness, I am the founder of Fuss Free Ceremonies. I have always been a person that loves to bring happiness to my family and now that they are spread throughout the world, I now have the opportunity to bring this to my couples on their most special day.
2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?
My aim was to be a full time Celebrant in a couple of years, but the opportunity has been given to me to start happening now. Over the last six months I have had the pleasure of officiating at seven weddings all were different and beautiful and I look forward to presiding at many more in the New Year.
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
I have had weddings that needed to be shortened through medical emergencies, 5 weeks from the start of the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and the longest advance booking being 18 months to the wedding date. All went smoothly.
4. How would you describe your ceremony style?
My business is called Fuss Free for a reason, I like to make my ceremonies as stress free as possible for my couples. I like to think I specialise in small ceremonies and for couples that only require legals all performed with a personal touch around each couple's style.
5. What are your fees for a wedding?
For small weddings with no more than 1 hour driving my fee is $500.00.
6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
I ask the couple what they would like me to wear. I have done a Gothic Wedding Ceremony and black was the requirement.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
I like to meet the couple either personally or through zoom to complete the NOIM and to discuss what they would like on their day. Some couples like to meet more others are happy for this single meeting and then correspond leading up to the day to discuss the ceremony through email, texting or calling. If the couple require a rehearsal, I am happy to run through the ceremony, so they are at ease on the day.
8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?
All of my ceremonies are personalised as all of their Love Stories are so different. I love hearing how the couples have met and the love they have for each other. The Wedding Ceremony is now sharing this with their family and friends.
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
Yes, I am more than happy to travel, I am happy to also provide my services interstate if required.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
Notice of cancellation of ceremony must be given to the Celebrant in writing, and the Celebrant reserves the right to retain the full or a portion of the amount of the ceremony booking depending on when the booking is cancelled.
That in the event of a change of date and venue due to unforeseen circumstances, the Parties will liaise with the Celebrant to mutually agree on a time and place for the Celebrant to solemnise the marriage and an extra fee may be negotiated depending on the circumstances.
