1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi, I'm Mandi Gill and my business is Married By Mandi. I ran a Promotions company in Sydney for many years before moving to the beautiful South Coast.
My daughter and then my son were married by a Celebrant, and after attending both of their weddings, I knew what I wanted to do!
Three years ago I retrained as a Celebrant and after registration commenced my new career.
Since then, I have travelled all over NSW, ACT and Victoria delivering beautiful ceremonies for all couples in love.
2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?
I have married 180 couples as of December 2024. From small Legals Only Ceremonies to large formal events and everything in between.
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
Popular dates are booked at least 12 months in advance, particularly Saturdays. I advise couples to book 12 months in advance if possible. However, for weekday weddings, I often have availability much closer to their date than this. Marriages require a Notice of Intended Marriage to be lodged with me 1 calendar month prior to your ceremony unless you have an allowable reason to apply for a shortening of time.
4. How would you describe your ceremony style?
My ceremony style is fun and relaxed, warm and sincere.
However, I always ask the couple what style of ceremony they would like and am guided by this.
My favourite ceremonies are when there is laughter and tears and your family and friends are swept along throughout the entire ceremony.
5. What are your fees for a wedding?
I have 3 Packages.
Legals Only- $675.00
A very short 10 minute ceremony for those just wanting to tie the knot and be legally married.
Just you and your 2 witnesses
1 virtual pre wedding meeting
Arrival at your ceremony 15 minutes prior
All legal paperwork including Notice of Intended Marriage
Registration of your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages
The Journey Begins- $950.00
A short and sweet 15-20 minute ceremony that is great for a mid sized wedding.
2 pre wedding meetings in person or via zoom
Arrival at your ceremony 30 minutes prior
Use of my high quality PA and microphone
All legal paperwork including Notice of Intended Marriage
Registration of your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages
All the Bells and Whistles- $1250.00
A 25-35 minute personalised bespoke ceremony
Unlimited help, support and meetings either in person or via zoom
Arrival at your ceremony 1 hour prior
Use of my high quality PA and microphone
All legal paperwork including Notice of Intended Marriage
Registration of your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages
6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
I have a lot of Celebrant dresses in just about every colour.
I always ask my couples for their colour palette and the dress code and then wear the appropriate clothing to match their theme.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
This depends on what style of wedding they are having.
If it is a Legals Only we usually just have the 1 meeting to sign the NOIM and discuss their ceremony.
If they are choosing the Bells and Whistles we have as many meetings as they need to feel happy and comfortable and ready for their big day.
8. Will you be able to create a personalised ceremony?
With the Journey Begins and Bells and Whistles Packages, I send the couple a questionnaire, in order to get to know them better and to understand more about their unique relationship.
I include a small Love story in the Journey Begins Package and a long one in the Bells and whistles Package.
Both Packages allow the couple to write personalised vows to each other.
Both Packages allow for a Reading or Poem
The Bells and Whistles Package allows for a Ritual such as a Sand Ceremony, Handfasting or Unity Candle Lighting etc
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
I am always open to travelling for weddings, in fact I absolutely love a destination wedding!
The furthest I have driven so far is to Victoria, which was about a 10 hour trip.
I would love to do more weddings in other states and am very happy to jump on a plane to travel wherever and whenever I am needed.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
When you book with me you pay a booking fee which is non-refundable, this will either be a $200 holding deposit for weddings that are more than 12 months away or a percentage of the package you have chosen.
This locks in your date with me and reserves it just for you.
It also means that I may not be able to rebook that reserved date, if you cancel.
If you have paid a percentage of a travel fee, this will be refunded if cancelled prior to one month before your wedding.
If you cancel within one month of your wedding date all monies paid are non- refundable.
