Hello and congratulations on your engagement!

My name is Leonie Sharp, an experienced Wedding Celebrant with ten years of expertise, I have had the pleasure of designing and officiating wedding ceremonies for numerous couples in the Illawarra area, Cronulla, Sydney, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and more. I understand the importance of personalisation and will work closely with you to bring your dream wedding ceremony to life, alleviating any stress associated with this part of your special day.

Throughout my journey as a Marriage Celebrant, I have had the honour of joining together couples in ceremonies ranging from intimate gatherings of four people to grand celebrations with 200 attendees. Each wedding is unique and wonderful in its own way.

To begin the process, simply choose a date/time from the web page and send through your Notice of Intended Marriage. During our initial meeting, I believe it's essential for us to get to know each other better, as your confidence in choosing the right celebrant is crucial. I will keep you updated throughout the process, ensuring that our final script is nothing short of "perfect" for you.

With a background in nursing and a positive outlook on life, I genuinely enjoy connecting with people. Being a Celebrant allows me to continue caring for others in a different capacity. I reside in the stunning Illawarra Region with my partner and two adorable puppies. I am also blessed with a wonderful daughter, Ellie-Kate, who is pursuing a career in teaching. We cherish the simple joys of life, including beach outings, bike rides, nature walks, and picnics.

2. What's your experience as a marriage celebrant? How many weddings have you done?

I have been honoured to have officiated over 250 weddings over the last 10 years. i do this "job" because i have a passion for people.

I am a nurse where i care for people and with being a Marriage Celebrant i can care for people in a different way.

3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?

I like to secure wedding ceremonies far in advance. It is a legal requirement that we have a minimum of 1 Month notice to be able to marry you.

I also only like to do one wedding on any one day so it is always good to secure your date.

4. How would you describe your ceremony style?

I have a professional, relaxed ceremony style. I like to make your ceremony personal to you so no 2 ceremonies of mine are the same.

I like to engage with my couples so i can write a ceremony to suit you. I encourage my couple to write their own vows and love story.

5. What are your fees for a wedding?

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?

I like to wear clothing appropriate to the setting i am in for each Ceremony from Beach Ceremonies - Gardens - formal settings.

7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?

Couples are able to contact me at any time. It is great to meet up initially, no obligations, to make sure we match.

I offer a rehearsal close to the wedding date. Meetings with couples can range from 1-4 times dependent on couples needs.
