4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?

We have a talented team of hair and makeup artists, and the number of artists who will be present on your wedding day depends on the number of people needing hair and makeup services. If you're working with a larger bridal party, we’ll ensure that we have enough artists to make the process smooth and efficient.

In the rare case that I am unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, one of my skilled team members will step in to take over. You can rest assured that our team is fully trained and experienced, so there’s no need to worry about a thing—your wedding day will go on as planned without any added stress.

5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

Yes, we do charge a travel fee. The fee is 75 cents per kilometre, each way, from Brisbane CBD. This fee applies per artist, so the cost will be calculated based on the number of artists attending your wedding. The travel fee covers the cost of transportation to and from your location, ensuring that we arrive on time and prepared to provide you with the best hair and makeup services.

6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?

Yes, the bride can absolutely book a wedding makeup trial appointment. We recommend scheduling the trial 2-6 weeks before the wedding to ensure that we have enough time to perfect the look. The same artist who performs the trial will also be the one to do your hair and makeup on the wedding day, ensuring consistency and familiarity with the look you’ve chosen. The trial is a great opportunity to discuss your vision, make adjustments, and feel confident about your final bridal style.

7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?

We use a wide range of professional, high-quality beauty products to ensure that your makeup lasts all day and looks flawless in photos. Our product selection is tailored to suit your skin type, preferences, and the overall look you desire.

While we are happy to incorporate the bride's own makeup if she prefers, please note that we can't always guarantee the same longevity and performance as our professional products. However, we're always open to discussing your preferences and ensuring you feel comfortable and confident with the products being used on your big day.

8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?

To ensure the bride's wedding makeup lasts all day and looks great in photos, we use a combination of professional techniques and high-quality products. Here's how we achieve that:

Skin Prep: We start with thorough skin preparation, including cleansing, moisturizing, and using primers tailored to your skin type. This helps create a smooth, long-lasting base for the makeup.

Long-Lasting Products: We use makeup that is specifically designed to stay put, including long-wear foundations, setting powders, and sprays. These products are formulated to resist fading, smudging, and shine throughout the day.

Setting Techniques: After applying makeup, we set everything in place with a setting spray to lock the look in and ensure it stays fresh for hours. We also use setting powders to minimize shine, especially in areas like the T-zone.

Customizing for the Bride: We carefully consider your skin tone, wedding setting, and the types of photos you’ll have (e.g., indoor or outdoor). This ensures that your makeup looks beautiful both in natural light and under the camera flash.

By combining these techniques, we help create a makeup look that not only lasts but also looks stunning in every photo, giving you the confidence to enjoy your special day without worrying about touch-ups.

9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?

On the wedding day, makeup typically takes about 45 minutes per person, depending on the look they’re after. If someone requires a more intricate or detailed style, it may take a bit longer, but we will work efficiently to ensure everything runs smoothly. We also allow an additional 30 minutes at the end of the session to do final touch-ups, including lips, and to ensure everything is perfect before we leave. This ensures that everyone feels confident and looks their best throughout the day.
